Industrial Technology Job Opening
The La Crescent – Hokah public schools has an opening as a 8th grade industrial technology teacher. This is a 60% position and will begin on January 20th of 2008. There will also be several opportunities to substitute in the building as well. In addition, there will be opportunities to coach. We are very optimistic that we will have a need for this to be a full time position the following school year.
La Crescent is a community of 5,000 with a rural township population of approximately 1,500
making it the largest community in Houston County, Minnesota. La Crescent is directly across the river from La Crosse, WI. La Crescent offers small town living with all the amenities of a larger city. Houston County is renowned for its upper Mississippi scenery and La Crescent's apple orchards. Gateway to all of the scenic beauty of Southeastern Minnesota, La Crescent is uniquely located on three officially designated scenic highways and by-ways. La Crescent is the gateway to Historic Bluff Country National Scenic Byway and Apple Blossom Scenic Drive, as well as being on the Great River Road National Scenic Byway. La Crescent is also convenient to interstate 90 at Exit 276. Railroads and barge shipping on the Mississippi are readily available.
